At mycardirect we do car hire a bit differently. Typically when you rent a car or van you rent by the day, but with mycardirect because we’re geared for long term rental you rent by the month. Daily rental is great for a holiday, but over the long term those daily rates add up. Because you commit to a monthly term with mycardirect we can offer better rates than traditional car hire companies, including the household names!

We operate nationally, with cars all across the country. When you hire from mycardirect your car can be delivered to your doorstep, or you can pick it up from one of our branches in hemel hempstead and Birmingham free of charge.

What Is Included In A Long Term Rental From Mycardirect?

When you rent from mycardirect we make sure your car is fully checked, valeted, and up to date with servicing before it’s delivered to your door. Over the course of your long term hire your car may need some maintenance and servicing. Fortunately the cost of all maintenance is included in your monthly rental. We even include replacements for worn out tyres, but not punctures which are considered accidental damage. I was looking for a small SUV with automatic transmission for three months in the summer of 2023. My home is in north Northumberland and MyCarDirect delivered the car and collected it at no charge. The range of cars was extensive and I chose a Citroen C3 Aircross which was almost perfect. Its only downside was a lack of cameras or even a parking sensor, which I found unnerving on a strange car. When I mentioned this after the end of the subscription, my contact told me they would have swapped out the car had I mentioned this earlier. This was the last of many interactions with my contact at the company and is typical of the level of care I enjoyed. I'll certainly be using MyCarDirect the next time I'm looking for a subscription and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Worked with Jeffrey, Mark and Tony to set up delivery of a vehicle the day after we arrived in the UK after living in Canada for many years. Other vendors didn't seem able to facilitate a subscription with the time difference (-7hrs) and it became all too difficult so I gave up on them. Mycardirect were very responsive and went the extra mile to make sure all my questions were answered and a couple of issues resolved. Pricing was very competitive and a well equipped shiny new vehicle arrived as promised. I shopped around a bunch of vendors and they were by far the best.

The process was very straightforward and easy. Be sure to check with your sales advisor about the specs of the car you are requesting, as mine was advertised with a certain package, but not delivered with such package. MCD was quick to apologize and discount my rate to make up for it. Overall I am quite happy

After having a frustrating experience with an auto brand subscription service whose process demanded huge amounts of my personal information for what was extremely opaque and unhelpful process I almost swore off car subscriptions altogether. We contacted mycardirect to see what their process was and got a speedy callback from Duncan who was very reassuring and clear about what information they needed and how long it would take. I was able to get the car much faster and for a better monthly price than the other place, but more importantly the service is much more personal and you get to deal with actual people! Every step of the way the communication has been excellent and immediate and everyone we’ve dealt with at the company has been so lovely - particularly Mark and Tony who were both very patient with all my questions!

We have 12 cars with my car direct the service they provide is excellent in fact after the amount of let downs we have had from other companies who promise vehicles they are the only ones that always deliver, these guys do what they promise. Don't waste your time on companies that say they have high end cars they string you along. You will get what you want with My Car and as a customer we intend to add more cars to our fleet because of the brilliant customer service.

Mycardirect Hemel rental site was fantastic. Service from the office was second to non. Found the car l needed and did not price gouge when there were non available. The office ladies even helped getting me home on a train strike. Five star service, cars and price. Will be using every time as first option when the need arises.

Fantastic! Very professional and easy to work with. The entire process from start to finish was straightforward & clear and best of all you actually get to speak to a real person easily! I dealt with Michael who was outstanding in his customer service. Great cars - even better price compared to the usual rip off at the airport. Definitely worth the short journey from Heathrow to Hemel Hempstead to collect the car. I will definitely use this company again.

How Much Does It Cost To Hire A Car By The Month?

Our prices vary depending on the vehicle you’d like to rent, and how many months you would like to hire the car for. You can view every car we have available and its pricing here. We understand that if you’re going to be in a car for a number of months, it has to be the right car for you. That’s why unlike most rental companies where you’re limited to choosing from a class of cars, we let you choose the exact car you want.

Monthly hire starts from just £449 for a Citroën C3 Aircross. We charge a one off £275 joining fee which makes you a member for life, and a fully refundable damage deposit returned at the end of the hire (typically £500). I'm Coming To The UK And Want To Rent A Car.

If you’re coming to the UK then mycardirect are here to help you get moving once you’ve touched down. You don’t need to be a UK citizen, UK resident or hold a UK driving licence to start a long term rental with mycardirect. There are however a few things you should know to make the process of renting a car for a year as straightforward as possible.

To use our long term (monthly) rental service we require slightly more information about yourself than we would need for a daily rental. We will need some proof of address, proof of affordability, and UK bank details, all of which you can securely upload through our online platform. You can find out more here. Our Hemel Hempstead branch is just a 45 minute taxi ride from Heathrow and Luton airports, for easy access when you arrive and depart. Of course with mycardirect you get a better selection and much better value than airport car hire branches.
